So I had the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for almost a year now, and I still haven't run out of it. I think of it as my most luxurious hair care product. Yeah I have products from Dry Bar and Living Proof, but Oribe screams luxury to me. I also have good scent memories whenever I smell a product from Oribe.
Fall Makeup Essentials
December 3, 2017 • essentials, fall makeup, makeup
So I may be really late on uploading this, but I'm still very into the fall makeup look. I had all of these products on my desk, and they have been a part of my everyday routine. I didn't include all the other necessities such as brow, mascara or setting power products just because it's the same for me year round. But the products that I am mentioning, I feel like they are definitely more suitable for fall and since I've been incorporating them into my daily makeup look, I decided that I need to share these products with you all.
What I Got From The Sephora VIB Sale
November 20, 2017 • haul, makeup, sephora, skincare
I had so much on my wishlist this year and I did end up picking up a few of the items from there, but I also ended up buying more than I needed. I don't know the amount I spent this year and I don't plan on checking because I'll be really upset after I calculate all of that. But I'm really happy with everything I purchased this year, I'm still waiting on a package that has yet to ship yet.
My Sephora VIB Wishlist
November 5, 2017 • makeup, skincare, wishlist
I have a love-hate relationship with the Sephora VIB sale. I love getting 20% off but I hate spending money. The sale for VIB Rouge started November 3 and is ending tomorrow, November 6. But this year, VIB Rouge actually gets 2 chances to participate in the sale! On November 10-15, VIB Rouge and VIB insiders get 20%, while Beauty Insiders get 15% off. There's a lot on my list, but I decided to narrow it down to things that I've been wanting for a long time, or some things that I really need.
What I Got For My Birthday!
November 2, 2017 • body care, makeup, skincare
I had a great birthday and it was really nice spending time with my family and friends. Of course I didn't really expect much when it came to gift giving, but I'm going to assume that people actually did read my wishlist! Even though I had a lot of products listed on my post, I didn't think anyone would actually go out of their way to get me something.
Fenty Beauty: Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
October 23, 2017 • fenty beauty, foundation, makeup
I am someone who loves trying out new foundations, only because my skin tends to always change how it reacts with a foundation. When I saw this line I was so excited because of the color range, and because it's a matte foundation. I love the fenty highlighters (read that blog post here) and I was hoping that I'd love the foundation as well.
My Birthday Wishlist
October 3, 2017 • makeup, wishlist
It's almost that time of the year again, that time when I turn another year older. I'm not someone who particularly likes celebrating my birthday. Most of the time I'll keep my actual birthday a secret and let people know it was my birthday a few days later. But this year, I'm actually going to celebrate my birthday with some friends whereas in the previous years I always celebrated with my family only. Every year I have family and friends ask me what I want for my birthday and I never know what to say so I put together a list of things that is in my cart from various stores.
Fenty Beauty: Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter & Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
September 26, 2017 • fenty beauty, makeup
I was so excited for Rihanna's makeup line to launch, I actually stayed up till 12 am waiting for it to release...only to find out that it wouldn't be released until 3 am. But the next morning I purchased these products right away since I knew they were what I would use the most. I always love buying highlighters from a brand before diving into their other products, and I loved the shade of the lip gloss so I knew I had to give it a try.
August Loves
September 10, 2017 • favorites, makeup
Lately I've been trying to not spend so much money on makeup because I realized that I don't end up using all/most of it. Ever since I went on my vacation I've quit wearing foundation, and I've been trying to achieve that minimal makeup look that everyone loves so much.
Two Hands Cafe
August 17, 2017 • food, food diaries, lifestyle, two hands cafe
I took a week off work so I could have some time to myself to enjoy the rest of summer. I'm in the city every single day, yet I barely have time to explore. There are a ton of restaurants that I have bookmarked on yelp so I was really excited to have been able to go to one of them.
Stop Being Lazy With Your Sunscreen!
July 29, 2017 • pixi beauty, skincare, sunscreen
So that title, huh? I'm definitely not the right person to be writing about applying sunscreen because honestly....I always forget. Lately I've been applying sunscreen everyday, no matter what. I was on vacation to the Bahamas and got sunburned pretty badly - second degree sunburns are no laughing matter. I should've reapplied sunscreen on my body after I got out of the water, and reapplied every 2 hours like the directions on the bottle stated, but I didn't so that's why I had blisters all over my legs. Fortunately, I applied sunscreen on my face and had a hat on so my face didn't get burned like the rest of my body.
On vacation I brought the Pixi Skin Treats Sun Mist with me because I knew I would be lazy with my makeup and sunscreen. Most days I barely had time to apply any makeup, but I knew that sunscreen would be an essential because I'm so afraid of getting sun damage.

My New Favorite Foundation
June 18, 2017 • mac cosmetics, makeup
Summer is almost here and that means it's that time again where I struggle to find a foundation that'll last on my skin. I've tried almost every single foundation that claims it's best for oily skin, and I've tried so many mattifying primers as well. The foundation and primer would work for a week, and then afterwards it seems to just stop working. I consider my skin oily, but occasionally I get rough patches here and there. When I heard about MAC Cosmetics' Next to Nothing foundation I wasn't all that interested because MAC foundations usually break me out. I was also told by an employee that this foundation was more luminous and not the best for oily skin, but I wanted to give it a try anyways. Let me say that I am completely shocked at how this foundation wore on my skin.
Kate Somerville Eradikate Mask
May 14, 2017 • kate somerville, mask, skincare
Stress + problematic skin? That's nothing new, especially now that the semester is coming to an end. Whenever I'm stressed out, I find that I get more of those pesky little break outs. I've been a fan of Kate Somerville products for years now, and you know I love the Eradikate treatment (blog post). So of course, I was pleased to find out that Kate Somerville came out with a mask!
Adding a Liquid Highlighter to my Routine
April 21, 2017 • Featured, highlighter, makeup, marc jacobs
I'm so obsessed with highlighters, and I'm glad to see so many brands coming out with new releases. I've tried getting into cream highlighters but they always look patchy on my skin even if I use it before foundation. When the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter released, I was really excited for it and ordered it right away.
Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder Light
April 1, 2017 • Featured, kevyn aucoin, makeup
Contouring? It was a trend I never thought I'd get into. I remember a few months ago, I didn't even know how to contour. Now contouring is a part of my everyday routine. I own so many contour powders (ok, maybe just 3) and I think I've found my holy grail product.
Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick
March 22, 2017 • Featured, foundation, hourglass, makeup
This has been one of the most raved about foundations this year. So many people have been into stick foundations, and I did jump on that bandwagon too with the Anastasia Beverly Hills stick foundation. After hearing all the great reviews on this Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick I knew that I had to give it a try.
First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Vital Greens Face Mist
February 27, 2017 • Featured, first aid beauty, makeup, skincare
I am a strong believer in setting sprays, or any type of spray that'll help my skin and makeup overall. I've been using the Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Makeup Setting Spray for a while and I've noticed recently that it doesn't help with the patchy spots on my skin. My skin type fluctuates a lot during this time of year, and right now it's still oily with a few dry patches. When I went to Sephora in search for something, this First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Vital Greens Face Mist immediately caught my eye.
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask
February 4, 2017 • Featured, skincare
It's been a while since I last posted anything! If I'm being honest, I've been really lazy. I've also been extremely stressed between work and school, so it's been hard trying to figure out how to balance everything in my life. The only thing that hasn't changed since my last post? My skin! Dry patches are still there and it's been so frustrating especially when trying to apply foundation on.
What I Got For Christmas
January 8, 2017 • candles, Christmas, makeup, skincare
I got a lot of great makeup products for Christmas and of course I had to test them all out the day after. I've been really impressed with every single one that I received. I was surprised to get some things from my wishlist as well, I guess it's beneficial to have a wishlist on the blog!
